Born and raised in the South Indian city of Hyderabad, Padmini Chennapragada holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Adapted Physical Education and Master of Science (M.S.) in Adapted Physical Activity from Texas Woman’s University, USA. She has created and leads the AdaptedSportsIndia movement in India. Started as a social media advocacy hashtag, today, the term is being introduced into India as a war cry to transform India to become a truly inclusive sporting nation. A System’s Theorist, she believes that –

no problem exists in isolation and all problems are often a consequence of the systems that interact with each other around a phenomemon

At ASI, Padmini sets the strategic agenda to lead research projects that focus on disability sporting rights advancement inside India’s fast growing sports ecosystem. She leads our education programs that are focused on improving the presence of internationally peer-reviewed literature from India in the field of Adapted Physical Activity.


Born and raised in Yeleswaram, a rural town in Andhra Pradesh, hailing from a family of community leaders, Prasanna brings to ASI her expertise in physiotherapy and community health initiatives. Guided by her ambition to work with people with disabilities, especially women and children, she leads our projects in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. At ASI, Prasanna leads the community and outreach activities while overseeing our partnerships with disabled people’s organizations (DPOs) in India.

She holds a Masters in Business Administration with emphasis in Hospital & Healthcare Management from Apollo Institute of Healthcare Management, Hyderabad. She is a registered Physiotherapist with the Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP) and holds a Bachelors of Physiotherapy from Dr. NTRUHS, Andhra Pradesh.


Born in erstwhile Calcutta, raised in Mumbai and the current day Kolkata, Yashodhara hails from a family of community serving medical and finance professionals. Rooted and raised in a service driven ecosystem, spiced with the passion for science and community welfare, Yashodhara brings to ASI her expertise in genetics, diagnostics and counseling. Guided by her passion to work with people with disabilities, especially children and adults living with Rare Diseases, she leads our projects in Eastern States of India. At ASI, Yashodhara guides and curates scientific projects within the intersectionality of rare diseases and disability.

She holds a Masters in Biomedical Genetics (Vellore) and PG Diploma in Genetic Counseling (Hyderabad). She is certified by the Board of Genetic Counseling India (BGC-I) as a Sr. Genetic Counselor (Level-II) practicing in India. Yashodhara works with individuals with genetic conditions, focusing on their management, family screening for prevention and creating awareness about genetic conditions for inclusion.


Padma Sonika Chavalla is a Computer Science graduate from the University of North Texas with roots in Hyderabad, India. Raised in a family committed to grassroots non-profit work, her work is focused on projects aimed at community service and social impact. Padma has led inclusive tech communities, organized educational workshops, hackathons, and supported early childhood wellness through the Head Start to Healthy Lifestyle project as a Graduate Research Assistant in the lone star state.

With skills in Java, JavaScript, Python, web development, machine learning, and blockchain, she focuses on building technology solutions that advance equity and serve real community needs. At ASI, she leads technology initiatives aimed at reducing the digital divide and addressing technology inequities experienced by persons with disabilities in India.


Born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Daisy is a Latina educator and researcher whose work centers on accessibility, built environment systems, and adapted sports. Drawing from her graduate training in public-school physical education and inclusion, she brings a lifelong commitment to advocacy and community engagement, aligning closely with our organizational mission.

At ASI, Daisy oversees content curation and management with a keen emphasis on accessibility for our global and diverse readership. She also provides strategic guidance to ensure the academic and ethical integrity of our scientific initiatives.

Daisy holds a Master of Science in Kinesiology, specializing in Adapted Physical Education, from Texas Woman’s University. She is a Certified Adapted Physical Educator through NCPEID and has a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology (Minor: Social Sciences) from the University of North Texas.


Born and raised in Frisco, Texas, Vaishnavi is a rising high school senior with a strong passion for inclusive innovation and environmental advocacy. With experience across nonprofit management, sustainable design, and adaptive education, she brings a unique interdisciplinary perspective to Adapted Sports India.

At ASI, Vaishnavi focuses on research, communications, and developing a sustainability-driven framework to support inclusive physical education and accessible sports for children with disabilities in India. She works on expanding ASI’s digital outreach and engagement across social platforms, while also contributing to content editing and visual storytelling to amplify the organization’s mission.

Outside of ASI, Vaishnavi is the founder of AviatorDesigns, an eco-friendly design business supporting local vendors, and volunteers with organizations such as the Dallas Arboretum‘s Teen Leadership Council (TLC). She is also nationally recognized for her achievements in business competitions – earning 6th place nationally in Business Professionals of America’s Administrative Support Research Project. In 2025, she was also named an international finalist in DECA’s Professional Selling Event.
